Dr. Mavalli (Children's Specialist)

Children need to be cared for in a special way. In our office, children are provided this special care by our children's Dental special Dr. Mahendra Mavalli.

Dr. Mavalli is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, in Birmingham, Alabama where he received his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. He also trained at the Civitan-Sparks center Dental Clinic for special needs patients and at the Children's Hospital of Alabama Dental Clinic. In addition to his clinical education, Dr. Mavalli holds a Master's degree (MS) in Dental Bio materials and Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in cellular and molecular Pathology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Mavalli, has published numerous scientific articles in prominent national and international journals relating to Dentistry and medicine. Dr. Mavalli is dedicated to understanding the varying aspects of oral health habits.

Dr. Mavalli is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry; member of the Fort Worth County Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, The American Dental Association, American Association of Dental Research, International Association of Dental Research and The Endocrine Society.

All children 12 years and under are treated in a separate area of the office designed to see our little patients. Children and adolescents with special needs (medical, physical or intellectual disability) will also be seen in our clinic. Our office also provides oral conscious and lV deep sedation to our young patients. Parents are welcome to visit our office and see the difference.

Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visit the Dentist by his/her 1st birthday.
